I have tested with the following kernel and can confirm the bug is still
present (see image). I also use a mobile dongle for internet access and
that seems ok. It seems to happen after I've used the wifi networking
possibly after I shutdown to resolve a connection issue.

linux-image-3.1.0-030100rc10-generic_3.1.0-030100rc10.201110200610_i386

I am now going to test tomorrow with the following kernel

linux-image-3.0.7-030007-generic_3.0.7-030007.201110180921_i386
