Public bug reported:

I'm using one Lenovo Y500 model, with Intel® Core™ Duo CPU T2350 @
1.86GHz × 2 and 3GB of RAM 32-bit OS. Installed Ubuntu 11.10 for the 1st
time, since then the touchpad of my laptop stops responding, I'm using
one wireless mouse right now. The more strange thing is, when I switch
on my laptop from the dead state, the touchpad doesn't work but, if I do
a "Restart", then the touchpad starts working. I wonder why it doesn't
work at the 1st time when i switch it on at the first time!!!

Any help will be highly appreciated.
