Randomly trying other drivers... HL1030 driver works (Brother HL-1030 Foomatic/hl1250) but there are artifacts (blocks under some letters). Brother HL-2460N Foomatic/Postscript gets -- blank pages. Brother HL-5030 - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.6 Simplified -- no output Brother MFC-6550MC Foomatic/ljet2p -- single empty page Brother HL-7050 Foomatic/lj5gray -- no output Brother HL-5140 Foomatic/hpijs-pcl5e -- works pretty well.
