I'm afraid there is too little information here, as it wasn't udev
itself that failed, but some other package that calls "udevadm trigger"
in its maintainer scripts. Next time this happens, there should be an
automatic package installation failure report popping up, which has all
the necessary data. If you ever get this again, can you please file that
instead?
Closing bug, as this is rather old and all the evidence is lost anyway
due to the reinstall.
