Public bug reported:
1) Running Ubuntu 10.4
2) kernel 2.6.32-34-generic
2.5) Have Acer Aspire5315 laptop computer, connected to a Microsoft 59758
Natural Keyboard (PS/2), via a PS/2--USB adapter.
3) Type in my password with the external keyboard (above) at the Ubuntu login
screen.
3.5) This is exactly what happened with all versions of the kernel BEFORE
2.6.32-34-generic
4) External keyboard DOES work for selecting boot options in GRUB, then it is
ignored by the system. AFTER a successful login (using the laptop keyboard):
status lights on the keyboard light up and keyboard is recognised by the system
.
Thanks very much,
