This issue is resolved in 1.5.6-2 which has now synced from Debian. It currently fails to build from source because one of its dependencies (yecht) is also FTBFS as it can't find jruby (in multiverse).
So its a bit circular. Approaches: 1) Promote current binary packaging to universe; build yecht and then build latest version of jruby 2) Demote yecht to multiverse; build yecht then jruby; promote both to universe. Unfortunately 1.5.6-2 also fails to build due to an invalid JAVA_HOME - I can also fix this up once its somewhere where it can see yecht. ** Changed in: jruby (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/576980 Title: jruby ships prebuilt jar files in the orig tarball To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/jruby/+bug/576980/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
