Update. Tonight I noticed that my work from today (on two articles) was replaced by the rsync backup of yesterday. Apparently I have been working today on the backup files of yesterday, without me knowing that / without Ubuntu informing me about that, after having opened them via dash.
1. This is an urgent issue. 2. Workaround: stop using dash to access files until this problem is solved. Use Nautilus instead.
