Hi Gregor,

The camera is detected but it will not start. It usually starts when there
is a change to the kernel...but only runs the one time. The camera led is
not changing. No content is visible. The device is available

gstreamer-properties-Message: Skipping unavailable plugin 'sunaudiosrc'
libv4l2: error turning on stream: No such device
gstreamer-properties-Message: Error running pipeline 'Video for Linux 2
(v4l2)': Error starting streaming on device '/dev/video1'.
[gstv4l2object.c(2143): gst_v4l2_object_start_streaming ():
/GstPipeline:pipeline0/GstV4l2Src:v4l2src1:
system error: No such device]

I did try plugging and unplugging...at one stage (before a kernel upgrade -
forget which one) it did work. This camera worked perfectly on this machine
under 10.10 and earlier.

from cheese started in the terminal.

Sorry, not sure where to find the dmesg in 11.10.
