Hi Joseph, Thank you so much for your time.
I installed the 3.1.0... Kernel, image and headers. it would not boot at all, it just "hung" the computer. Interestingly, after that, some of my USB flash drives started to work with the 2.6.32-34-generic-pae kernel... Jim some days, it's not even worth chewing through the restraints... -----Original Message----- From: Joseph Salisbury <[email protected]> Reply-to: Bug 881999 <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Subject: [Bug 881999] Re: USB flash drives not recognised Date: Fri, 28 Oct 2011 13:50:42 -0000 For 32 bit, you can install the deb package: linux- image-3.1.0-030100-generic_3.1.0-030100.201110241006_i386.deb It is available at: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.1-oneiric/ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/881999 Title: USB flash drives not recognised To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/881999/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
