Public bug reported:
I am running a fresh install of Ubuntu Oneiric 11.10 64-bit. After
installing Gnome15 to use my LCD display, the occasional xhci_hcd error
message turns into a waterfall of messages which filled up my
'/var/log/syslog' and '/var/log/kern.log' logs up to the point where the
system crashes. Within one hour these files blew up into 33GB (!) log
files.
The LCD is working fine and I had the problems before when I tried use
the extra features of my Logitech G15 via the USB 3.0 connector on my
system. The G15 is a low speed USB 2.0 device.
Post from dmesg:

I seem to have found a workaround by finding a native USB 2.0 port (from
the Intel controller).
