Public bug reported:

When I try and add a ppa repository through software sources GUI using a
pp:user/repo link, the repo is corrently added to sources.list.d however
the gpg keys are never imported. Following this I get the related
warnings about 'missing keys' and 'can't verify packages' etc.

It works fine and keys are added correctly when I add the repo through
the command line using `add-apt-repository`.
