Hi Stefan, apart from the small problem with „German double quotes“ in UTF-8 encoded text files, printing on the 1300W with min12xxw and cups works fine. »Gänsefüßchen« print OK from text files, and „double quotes“ in PDF and OOo files work well, too. I reported the bug for min12xxw, because I have too little knowledge of the printing machinery, so I started with the part that looked related to the printer hardware.
Your example text.txt file contains exactly the „quotes“ in question. They can be created with AltGr+v/b or with vim's digraphs :←9 and "←6 respectively. My version of cups: 1.4.3-1ubuntu1.5 Thanks for looking after this problem, Andreas -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/884121 Title: Printer stops on German double quotes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups/+bug/884121/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
