Public bug reported:

clean install of Ubuntu 11.04 then updated then Gnome 2.30 installed
from Ubuntu repositories. When I ran the Update Manager again it
recommended updating LibreOffice but broke 9 files. Ran Synaptic but it
can't fix it.
