I have to confirm what markovuc said (for the X121e laptop): Bluetooth
icon in Ubuntu 11.10 deactivated after firmware update. Status then
"hardblocked" at all times (despite few links being possible to my
smartphone). Now, with a reset to defaults in the bios, bluetooth works
again in "full" operation mode (bluetooth icon not greyed-out, all
options available)!

On my X121e, with fn+f4, both wlan and bluetooth (at the same time) can
now be hardblocked/unblocked again. This was not possible until now.

(Strange behavior in fact)

I guess this is more likely to be a bug in the firmware than in Ubuntu?
