Public bug reported:
apticron won't automatically email after upgrade to oneiric.
I have manually hacked /etc/cron.d/apticron to the next minute and watched for
activity. It certainly looks like it is performing an apt-get update, and
syslog is showing no error (just the fact it ran apticron), but still no email
is produced.
I have also tried running manually using "sudo apticron". This DOES produce an
email, which is very odd.
Also, unattended-upgrades is working fine in that I get that email. Note that I
have ensured that apticron runs before unattended-upgrades.
