This seems surely something related to a temporarily xorg-server freeze.
So I close this report asking you that the next time you're experiencing a
freeze to type in a terminal
ubuntu-bug xorg
that will open a new bug report with automatically attached all the diagnostic
needed files, so you've just to insert a small description of the problem
