Correction: amarok _does_ start, but it takes at least 20 minutes

running amarokapp under strace the problem seems to be a massive number
of these lines:

nanosleep({0, 100000000}, NULL)         = 0
fcntl64(12, F_SETLK64, {type=F_RDLCK, whence=SEEK_SET, start=1073741824,
len=1}, 0xbfe46e14) = -1 ENOLCK (No locks available)
nanosleep({0, 100000000}, NULL)         = 0
fcntl64(12, F_SETLK64, {type=F_RDLCK, whence=SEEK_SET, start=1073741824,
len=1}, 0xbfe46e14) = -1 ENOLCK (No locks available)

My home directory, which of course contains ~/.kde, as well as my music
collection, is mounted over NFS. Could this have anything to do with it
?

If necessary, I'll post the strace log, when amarok finally starts
