Sorry,  I'm not so familiar with the methods used to determine status
and importance here,  and am curious to know what factors lie behind the
decision to classify this bug with importance "Low".    From my own
personal standpoint as someone who relies on an E220 for my regular
daily internet access,  I see this bug as a high nuisance value,  and
the inelegant workaround I've posted above as nothing more than a very
short-term temporary alternative to being forced to regress to Natty
where my E220 logged in without any difficulty.      It would be
interesting to hear from other E220 users about how important and how
seriously this bug affects them.
