Public bug reported:
Suspend or sleeping mode turns screen to black with OS Ubuntu 11.10 on a Asus
K72F laptop and Asus k54ly (at least we know about these two) and can not wake
up again.
Harddisk indicator does not turn off.
Also when I use the key combination Fn + Z <F1> the same happens.
The only solution is to push the power button and start up the the laptop again.
the screen stays black.
it's really easy to reproduce the event, you just have to suspend the
system or even just close the lid
