Ok, run this: 1) sudo apt-get autoremove --purge update-manager
After it is uninstalled, check for any residual files left over with this command: 2) sudo find / -name *update-manager* Paste any output that command gives so I can have a look at the left over items. NOTE: Dont reinstall the update-manager yet. --- Ubuntu Bug Squad volunteer triager http://wiki.ubuntu.com/BugSquad -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/878719 Title: Update manager comes to a contineous "processing" status (with the rotating cursor pointer) when the "Install updates" button is pressed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager/+bug/878719/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
