In Feisty you need to install the openprinting-ppds-extra package for
Savin PPDs, to save space on the desktop/alternate cd these are not
included by default (see below).
Dapper had the foomatic-filters-ppds package installed by default with static
PPDs (including Savin PPDs).
Since Edgy dynamically generated PPDs from foomatic-db are used, you probably
manually installed the foomatic-filters-ppds package for static PPDs or you did
a distribution upgrade from Dapper to Edgy, otherwise Savin printers are not
listed either. In Edgy you could also install linuxprinting.org-ppds and
linuxprinting.org-ppds-extra for static PPDs for PostScript printers.
In Feisty foomatic-filters-ppds has been removed, static PPDs for PostScript
printer are in openprinting-ppds and openprinting-ppds-extra now.
