Hey Bryce, The bug was a little to anoying to ignore, and I met some other issues with natty (ie no stable VPN connection to a certain cisco based network), that I gave up after a couple of months, and did the brave thing to downgrade to 10.04 LTS. Its not the most straight-forward thing to do, and it gave me some amount of hassle, but with the community based information I managed it. So three cheers to any-one who participated in documenting a down-grade (and that it is possibel to downgrade really shows how well thought an OS we are dealing with here), and good luck with development. I cant say I am willing to try and install oneiric, since I am running out of primary partitions on this particular machine. Please feel free to close the bug, alas marked as unresolved.
