Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.

This does look like some corrupted packages were downloaded.  Could you
check to make sure that you have enough space on your disk by doing 'df
-h' (and paste the result here)?

Assuming you have enough space, to continue you should:

   1. sudo dpkg --configure -a
   2. apt-get clean # to make sure you remove all corrupt packages
   3. apt-get update
   4. apt-get dist-upgrade
