Public bug reported: Hello Sirs!
After 5 or 6 updates ago in Unity, I've felt this problem, but I thought i could be easily resolved in the next updates, but now, I think, one month has passed and nothing changes. My problem is simples but probably i'm an idiot. LOL Like this image (http://imgur.com/74XTT) every config window, or software with layouts of the same kind, i can't see the options, until my window reaches 2 or 3 virtual desktops on resizing it. Its a really pain in the knee, when I try to change any config, or schedule something, or download new packages who uses this kind of window layout, and I have to huge resize the window just to see the options, i have other examples if anyone need. I am not sure if here is the right place to report this problem, or to get the solution, yet. But it was the first place that came into mu mind, since the problem began after an upgrade. i'm waiting for some contact, or an ask to provide more information. Thank all of you since now, Daniel ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: xorg 1:7.6+7ubuntu7 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-12.20-generic 3.0.4 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-12-generic i686 .tmp.unity.support.test.0: ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 Architecture: i386 CompizPlugins: [core, bailer, detection, composite, opengl, decor, snap, regex, animation, vpswitch, grid, move, compiztoolbox, workarounds, gnomecompat, mousepoll, resize, imgpng, expo, wall, place, session, ezoom, fade, unitymtgrabhandles, scale, unityshell] CompositorRunning: compiz Date: Thu Nov 10 08:02:51 2011 DistUpgraded: Fresh install DistroCodename: oneiric DistroVariant: ubuntu ExtraDebuggingInterest: Yes, if not too technical GraphicsCard: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:27a2] (rev 03) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: Uniwill Computer Corp Device [1584:9900] Subsystem: Uniwill Computer Corp Device [1584:9900] InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Release i386 (20111012) MachineType: American Megatrends Inc M31EI Series PccardctlIdent: Socket 0: no product info available PccardctlStatus: Socket 0: no card ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-3.0.0-12-generic root=UUID=67c9a7cf-8f0d-4d25-a90c-dceb0bee1f51 ro quiet splash vt.handoff=7 SourcePackage: xorg Symptom: display UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) dmi.bios.date: 08/14/2006 dmi.bios.vendor: American Megatrends Inc. dmi.bios.version: 1.05 dmi.board.name: M31EI Series dmi.board.vendor: American Megatrends Inc dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnAmericanMegatrendsInc.:bvr1.05:bd08/14/2006:svnAmericanMegatrendsInc:pnM31EISeries:pvr:rvnAmericanMegatrendsInc:rnM31EISeries:rvr:cvn:ct10:cvr: dmi.product.name: M31EI Series dmi.sys.vendor: American Megatrends Inc version.compiz: compiz 1:0.9.6+bzr20110929-0ubuntu5 version.libdrm2: libdrm2 2.4.26-1ubuntu1 version.libgl1-mesa-dri: libgl1-mesa-dri 7.11-0ubuntu3 version.libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental: libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental N/A version.libgl1-mesa-glx: libgl1-mesa-glx 7.11-0ubuntu3 version.xserver-xorg: xserver-xorg 1:7.6+7ubuntu7 version.xserver-xorg-input-evdev: xserver-xorg-input-evdev 1:2.6.0-1ubuntu13 version.xserver-xorg-video-ati: xserver-xorg-video-ati 1:6.14.99~git20110811.g93fc084-0ubuntu1 version.xserver-xorg-video-intel: xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.15.901-1ubuntu2 version.xserver-xorg-video-nouveau: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau 1:0.0.16+git20110411+8378443-1 ** Affects: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug compiz-0.9 corruption i386 oneiric regression-update running-unity ubuntu -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/888480 Title: My windows, specially from config modules and similars are hard to use To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/888480/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
