I ran "udisks --monitor" and let it go for over 5 minutes and this was
all I got.

phil@phil-desktop:~$ udisks --monitor
Monitoring activity from the disks daemon. Press Ctrl+C to cancel.
changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0
changed: /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sr0

phil@phil-desktop:~$ gvfs-mount -o
Monitoring events. Press Ctrl+C to quit.
Drive connected: 'CD/DVD Drive'
Volume added: 'DVDVIDEO'

It seems as if it's detecting the disk now and just not mounting and unmounting
it automatically. It wasn't even doing this a couple of days ago. I could put a
disk in and open System>Administration>Disk Utility and couldn't see any media
detected. I am going to try and provide screenshots of the Disk Utility with
the disk in and out.
