Public bug reported:
Can only launch applications (except for a few that are on the icon
totem) after update.
The Unity thingy on top of the icon totem no longer has application
launching after update.
This is recent behavior (after installing mythbuntu 24.i fixes).
Apps can be launched from terminal, i.e. gksu synaptic
