I downloaded and installed the "linux- image-3.1.0-030100rc10-generic_3.1.0-030100rc10.201110200610_i386.deb" (along with the apropriate header packages). I hope this is whatI was supposed to do? (The "3.2.0-030200rc1.201111071935" version is currently only available for amd64 systems.)
Anyway same behaviour there (both normal boot and recovery mode). I edited the tags apropriately. Some more information in case it helps: The new kernel reports some errors (proposing to boot with the options "pnpbios=off" and "irqpoll", but adding those didn't help). After about half a minute, it reports an DMA timeout/error. If more information on these errors is needed, I will copy the exact messages. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/883820 Title: splash screen doesn't display on kernels newer than 2.6.31-22 => can not enter disk decryption password To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/883820/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
