Hi, same here. HP ProBook 4525s and Broadcom BCM4313. I think that different driver is used. When I click on the network manager I can see "Driver: brcmsmac" which is probably open source driver. When I want to install the proprietary one it tells me it can't be installed.
It worked fine in 11.04. After upgrade to 11.10 it stopped working and when I tried clean installation of Kubuntu 11.10 it doesn't work as well.
