It seems like this problem is somehow related to the integrated NVidia
Optimus technology of my laptop.

If I change the BIOS settings (Graphics Device -> Integrated Graphics,
OS Detection for NVidia Optimus -> Disabled) to use the integrated
graphics card only, the above SATA errors disappear. Re-enabling the
Optimus technology in the BIOS these error messages show up again. So
the problem is clearly correlated with the NVdidia Optimus technology.

Does that help? Why would the graphics device provoke SATA errors?

Btw, if I set "OS Detection for NVidia Optimus" to "Enabled" in my BIOS
settings, Ubuntu automatically enables Optimus technology. Is that
wanted? As far as I know Ubuntu does not support Optimus yet and hence
it should not enable it automatically.
