Hello,
Here's a reproducible test:
Open nautilus on virtual desktop 1 (nautilus is an example, this isn't
nautilus-specific)
Open another nautilus on virtual desktop 2
Open another random application on desktop 2
Switch back to the first desktop, make sure nautilus is focused
ALT+TAB to the random application
hit ALT+TAB once back to nautilus
expected behaviour: The nautilus instance on the 2nd desktop should be
focused, as it had focus last
actual behaviour: The nautilus instance on the same desktop gets
focused
