I don’t think that this is a duplicate of Bug #756082 because the
problem also occurs in qt Applications unter Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric
Ocelot.
In older Ubuntu versions it was possible to fix this by changing the
colours of tooltips with “gnome-color-chooser”. But in 11.10 the changes
of gnome-color-chooser seem to get overwritten because the black
tooltips appear again after an application restart.
Anyway, it’s possible to use qtconfig, which is provided by the package
“qt4-qtconfig” and setting up any GUI style except (!) GTK+.
