I checked this several times. This happens whenever I send a message to
my gmail pop account using gmail smtp server, but not when I send a
message using a different smtp server (then the message downloads to
evolution as normal). Maybe this is a really a gmail magic, recognising
mail sent by its own smtp and not granting it pop access? I'll ask gmail
support about this.
