on upstream they released a new version of emesene. here's a changelog:
- Connection issues with the msn protocol are fixed
- Better google talk and facebook support (you'll need to have python-xmpp
installed to see it)
- A more stable plugin/theme download system
- Unity launcher support for Oneiric
- Settings are also saved when you log out of your desktop account
- A working Windows installer (again)
- Updated translations
i believe that a backport to oneiric should be good because with this
version people will be able again to connect to the msn protocol
