Public bug reported:
Cut and copy from xfdesktop work fine. However, if you copy/cut
something from thunar, or even xfdesktop itself, you cannot paste onto
the desktop directly, as the 'paste' option is greyed out. The
workaround for this is to either drag and drop stuff onto the desktop,
or paste stuff into the 'Desktop' folder using thunar.
