After a RAM upgrade from 4Gb to 8Gb the system get so slow that became
unusable.
I ran the memtest in the new memory set, no issue was found.
Initially I thought that was a MTRR problem, so I enabled the
`enable_mtrr_cleanup` option in grub, but no success. The memory set is
compatible with my machine.
With the Windows OS installed the machine is responsive, so there's no
hardware issue. In order to fill this bug report, I had to put the 4Gb
back.
