I've been having the same problem but I've discovered a simple (but
annoying) workaround:
After using workplace switcher just double click the windows menu bar
(which would maximise or restore it). Double click it again to change it
back to it's original state. After that, moving your mouse to any edge
of the screen won't result in the orange overlay!!
Hope it works for everyone else but I hope they release a fix soon :(
