status of this bug to confirmed, as 'In Progress' is only used when a
developer is working on a solution to a bug. Yes, please do open a bug
against the package 'apport' regarding that issue. In the report of that
new bug please state whether Firefox was installed when you were
experiencing the problem, and if Chrome was set as your default browser
or not.
