I will test acpi_video when I get back home. How can I switch to bare linux acpi? I'm missing sleep&wakeup the most.
I noticed that there is no try&fail procedure for reenabling hot keys, and it could be triggered in masses (as I saw in logs). This was my point. I'm not in kernel development but I'm able to read C/C++ code. WMI interface could be introduced by BIOS update (it was named 1.40 WIN - whatever it means).
