I don't know if I should file this as a separate bug, but I'm having the
same issues with network-manager-openvpn (I'm running Ubuntu 11.10
amd64).

I'm trying to auto-connect to my VPN from
/etc/NetworkManager/dispatcher.d/01ifupdown, but I get:
