I have the same laptop. I am at Ubuntu 11.10: > uname -a 3.0.0-12-generic #20-Ubuntu SMP Fri Oct 7 14:50:42 UTC 2011 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
Problem still exists! The solution of removing mouse driver and inserting it again solves the issue. What's going on? is this going to be assigned to someone? The problem is specific, reproducible and well defined. If I am given some pointers I can look into it myself.
