The problem I'm trying to solve is the arrow not being sufficiently connected, visually, to the button they belong to. Currently they look like separators (due to the last item, History, not having one) or completely independent entities.
Another alternative to solve this other than a hover color would be two styles of separator: one like the one currently used, with gradients, between the left part and the arrow, and another one more solid between the three different buttons. I agree that what Thunderbird does is lacking in terms of making sufficiently clear that there are two different functionalities on the same button, but is better than USC in terms of making clear that the arrow and the label belong to the same domain. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/882852 Title: Toolbar buttons should have active and highlight visuals that include the arrows To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-center/+bug/882852/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
