Ristretto doesn't open various picture formats, but is bound to be the
primary viewer for these. There are:

* tiff: runs 100% CPU, but never opens the picture. For small ones with 8 bit 
colours it works, but not for pictures with more than 8 bit per colour. As it 
doesn't work for huge pictures with file sizes greater than 50 MiByte.
* jpeg: some allowed, but seldom used formats make ristretto hang.
* most RAW formats, notably Sony ARW ristretto claims to be capable to open, 
but doing so will make the application hang forever.
