I am having similar problems as described in #1 by Philip Reese, but my
computer is a Sony-Vaio VPCEB23FM running Ubuntu 10.04, with the kernel
2.6.32-35 generic. I am trying without success to read a 16Gb Sony
memory card in the built-in card reader. Like other users report my SD
reader is working perfectly. I am adding to this comment (likely) the
relevant output of lspci -k
03:00.0 SD Host controller: Ricoh Co Ltd Device e822
Kernel driver in use: sdhci-pci
Kernel modules: sdhci-pci
03:00.1 System peripheral: Ricoh Co Ltd Device e230
03:00.4 SD Host controller: Ricoh Co Ltd Device e822
Kernel driver in use: sdhci-pci
Kernel modules: sdhci-pci
