I'm not shure it is a duplicate of 89160 since one can wget and even browse
with links while Firefox does not surf.
How to replicate in Feisty (Edgy works good).
1. type
wget www.medusa4.de
you will get a file named index.php?ziel=Products|MEDUSA
2. install links (i.e : sudo apt-get install links) and type
links www.medusa4.de
and you will browse the site.
3. type
firefox www.medusa4.de
..you will not!
So it seems to be a Firefox issue under Feisty not a kernel related issue.
Furtermore setting tcp_window_scaling to 0 (i.e. sudo sysctl -w
net.ipv4.tcp_window_scaling=0 ) does not help at all.
