Public bug reported:

The Oneiric Server AMD64 installation CD does not detect my disks which
are attached to an HP Smart Array P600 RAID controller. The installer
tells me it cannot find any disks and prompts me to select a disk
controller driver. Loading the cciss driver does not help.

Natty also does not seem to see the disks (kernel 2.6.38-12-generic).
Maverick, however, does see the disks (kernel 2.6.35-28-generic).

The problem might be somewhere in the cciss driver. I get the following
output in dmesg:

[   66.248843] cciss 0000:13:08.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 19 (level, low) -> IRQ 19
[   66.248908] cciss 0000:13:08.0: irq 65 for MSI/MSI-X
[   66.288280] cciss 0000:13:08.0: cciss0: <0x3238> at PCI 0000:13:08.0 IRQ 65
using DAC
[   66.289018] cciss 0000:14:01.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 19 (level, low) -> IRQ 19
[   66.328054] cciss 0000:14:01.0: Unable to get irq 19 for cciss1
[ 66.328089] cciss: probe of 0000:14:01.0 failed with error -1

I am attaching the dmesg and lspci -vnvn from the installation CD rescue
shell here, as well as the same for Maverick which works.
