Thank you. My computer sees the network, tries to connect, but never makes the connection. It tries over and over again. On Ubuntu forums, they seem to think it is a "known bug". I have seem other posts that the users have the same problem. They instructed me to install the older kernel. Feel free to send me any commands, to gather any onfo that you may need. Thank you, Ernie

I upgraded and then did a clean install of Ubuntu 11.10. I am not able to connect to wifi. I can see the networks, but can not connect. I have been on the Ubuntu Forums since the release date and nobody has been able to help. The only suggestion is to down grade to Kernel 2.6. Please help, I am not the only person with this problem. > --- > AlsaVersion: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.24. > ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 > Architecture: amd64 > ArecordDevices: > **** List of CAPTURE Hardware Devices **** > card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 0: ALC269VB Analog [ALC269VB Analog] > Subdevices: 1/1 > Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 > AudioDevicesInUse: > USER PID ACCESS COMMAND > /dev/snd/controlC0: ernest 1483 F.... pulseaudio > ernest 1523 F.... xfce4-volumed > CRDA: Error: [Errno 2] No such file or directory > Card0.Amixer.info: > Card hw:0 'PCH'/'HDA Intel PCH at 0xdfc00000 irq 52' > Mixer name : 'Intel CougarPoint HDMI' > Components : 'HDA:10ec0269,10431bd3,00100100 HDA:80862805,80860101,00100000' > Controls : 18 > Simple ctrls : 10 > CurrentDmesg: > [ 22.911286] EXT4-fs (sda8): re-mounted.
