In my case, I have found this bug to be connected to vsync. After looking in details on this webpage (http://forum.compiz.org/viewtopic.php?t=12048), I made different trials while enabling vsync from nvidia-settings or from compiz-settings- manager or from both.
So far, I have only enabled compiz-settings-manager vsync mode and set the display refresh rate at 60Hz (the value of my computer) while turning-off the automatic detection of the refresh rate in ccsm. When I encounter (more and more regularly) the problem of screen refresh reportednin this bug, I start the benchmark (found in ccsm) in console mode. The problem immediately disappears (but at the expense of high cpu consumption). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/868889 Title: screen does not refresh until mouse click or movement over responsive area To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/868889/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
