No! A thousand times no! I install lots of applications that I don't want to be put in my launcher. Some applications are necessary but only infrequently. Sone applications I only need to use indirectly or on specific files, like archiver. Some applications I install, run once, and then uninstall. I think the launcher's contents should ONLY change if I explicitly change them.
Also I do not see an option to "Add [app name] to the launcher" in the software center. This could actually be a useful feature. But doing it automatically for every installed application is ridiculous! It would quickly make the launcher useless -- the whole point is to have the most frequently used and best programs in it, not every damn thing I install. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/893209 Title: Software Centre - When a application is installed from the Software Centre it's icon should be automatically pinned to the Launcher To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/893209/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
