A temporary workaround: Install obexfs : sudo apt-get install obexfs create a new directory say MyPhone: mkdir ~/MyPhone open terminal : Right Click on Bluetooth Icon> Preferences. Locate your phone and copy its HW Address, of the form: AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF To mount : obexfs -b your:bluetooth:address ~/MyPhone To unmount : fusermount --u ~/MyPhone
Now you can browse your device via bluetooth You will have to type this command into terminal everytime you want to browse your phone -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/879776 Title: Bluetooth Browsing Device doesnt work in 11.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bluez/+bug/879776/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
