This typically happens after I've been using my laptop for 5-6 hours
without restarting.
Right now, I can reproduce this at will by launching firefox from the
Unity launcher, but launching firefox from the command line works every
single time, so I suspect this is a Unity/Compiz issue. Adding a Unity
task.
